The Doctors

Meet the physicians behind 4 Elements.

Dr. Vasanth Kainkaryam
Internist • Pediatrician • Obesity Medicine

Dr. Vasanth Kainkaryam

Hello and welcome. I’m Dr. Vasanth Kainkaryam — Internist, Pediatrician, husband, father, author, baker, patient, and someone who believes that life is a blend of free will and destiny.

I created 4 Elements® Direct Primary Care & Wellness Space for one simple reason: to help patients experience a smoother, clearer, more human journey toward health and wellness. Over the years, my path through medicine revealed something important to me: healthcare had become complicated, fragmented, and often impersonal. I knew there had to be a better way.

My philosophy is straightforward. A doctor and a patient should have a direct, meaningful, and two-way relationship. That means honesty. Feedback. Trust. Curiosity. Thinking outside the box. Support. And yes — even a little fun in the process of getting well together.

Direct Primary Care allows me to practice medicine the way I believe it was intended to be practiced — without insurance barriers dictating the interaction. It gives us time. It gives us access. It gives us partnership.

  • Preventive and longevity medicine
  • Cardiometabolic risk reduction
  • Evidence-based weight management
  • Functional medicine for lifestyle management
  • Pediatric and adult primary care
  • Integrative approaches, including acupuncture
  • Data-driven, personalized care strategies

At 4 Elements®, I have intentionally built more than a clinic. I’ve created a wellness space where primary care, prevention, aesthetics, and community converge — because health is not merely the absence of disease. It is vitality, resilience, and living fully.

I believe deeply that this experience is about you, not me. My role is to guide, educate, and support you so that you can make informed decisions and feel empowered in your health journey.

Below are my credentials — and the four foundational elements that shape how I practice medicine.

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine (Adult Medicine)
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Board Certified in Obesity Medicine
  • Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist
  • Fellow of the American College of Physicians
  • Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics

Dr. Diana Rodriguez
Internal Medicine • Bilingual Physician

Dr. Diana Rodriguez

¡Hola! I’m Dr. Rodriguez, your bilingual, bicultural Physician with a Jersey twist! Raised on a blend of English, Spanish, and the lively rhythms of my Dominican roots, I’m here to make your wellness journey as vibrant as my upbringing.

From the hustle of New Jersey to the chill of Massachusetts, I earned my stripes at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Pre-med was my jam, and ensuring I added some medical humanities for good measure. Then, it was off to Dominica for my medical degree – yes, the one in the Caribbean with amazing weather!

Back on U.S. soil, I fine-tuned my skills at the University of Connecticut during residency. Mental health, health literacy, and the socioeconomic dance with physical health areas I love. Food is my medicine, and motivational interviewing is my mic drop! I’m all about helping people become their own health MVPs, one conversation at a time.

Lifelong learner, enthusiastic teacher, and your partner in wellness. Let’s decode your health together!

Join the fun – your health journey is about to get a whole lot brighter!

The Elements

The four principles that shape how we practice.

These four ideas define the patient experience at 4 Elements and guide how care is delivered every day.

01

Engage

Better health depends on connection before, during, and between visits — in person, by video, by phone, and through direct communication.

02

Educate

We believe patients deserve real education, practical guidance, and clear answers — not rushed instructions without context.

03

Empower

Care works best when patients are informed, involved, and supported in making decisions that align with their goals.

04

Encourage

We aim to create a safe, positive, supportive environment because encouragement is often what sustains long-term wellness.
